Our Program

Since 1967, the Indian River High School Band Program has served as a proud and enduring part of the Indian River High School community. For nearly six decades, generations of students have carried forward a tradition of excellence through music, performance, school spirit, and service. From the concert stage to the marching field, from jazz performances to community events, the band program has helped shape the identity of Indian River High School and create lasting memories for students, families, alumni, and supporters.

The Indian River Band Program offers students a comprehensive musical experience through our concert ensembles, Marching Braves, Jazz Band, percussion programs, and color guard. Each ensemble provides students with opportunities to develop their individual musicianship while learning the responsibility, discipline, teamwork, and commitment required to contribute to a successful organization. Whether performing at concerts, football games, school events, community appearances, or competitions, our students represent Indian River with pride and professionalism.

At the heart of our program is a culture built on high standards, shared purpose, and belonging. We believe excellence is developed through consistent effort, attention to detail, leadership, and a willingness to grow. Students are challenged to become stronger performers, but they are also encouraged to become dependable teammates, confident leaders, and positive representatives of their school and community.

As we honor the generations of students and families who have built the Indian River Band tradition since 1967, we also look forward with purpose and ambition. Our goal is to continue strengthening a program where students take pride in their work, families feel connected and valued, and every performance reflects the history, character, and future of the Indian River Braves.
