Color Guard
The colorguard is the flag, rifle, saber and dance ensemble that greatly enhances the visual performances of The Indian River Marching Band. Students involved in this group weekly with the band and one sectional, plus they perform at weekly football games and band competitions. Students learn from skilled instructors that are both active teachers and participants in the colorguard activity. After marching season is over, the colorguard transitions into what is known as the Indian River Winterguard. The winterguard is similar to the outdoor colorguard; however this group now performs indoors with a 4-6 minute show, which features just the colorguard.
